ACC cement production and despatch figures for the month of March 2006 were as
follows:


March 2006

Cement production                               17.39 lakh tonnes

Cement despatches                               17.46 lakh tonnes


March 2005

Cement production                               15.76 lakh tonnes

Cement despatches                               15.72 lakh tonnes

January - March 2006

Cement production                               49.28 lakh tonnes

Cement despatches                               49.28 lakh tonnes


January - March 2005

Cement production                               44.46 lakh tonnes

Cement despatches                               44.49 lakh tonnes


Cement production and despatches in March 2006 are the highest ever achieved in
any month by ACC as a group. If we look at the figures in respect of the fiscal
year 2005-06 (April-March), ACC's cement despatches crossed 17.94 million tonnes
during the year which is also an all-time record for the group.
