FYI the appeal process would have to be finalized prior to any attorney fees being paid. So, that’s about two years or so.

We haven’t even gotten to that point yet. It comes after the final reconsideration decision.

It’ll be a moot point if Albright reverses his decision.

Yes, DesktopDR, that could explain the cancellations, however, there is another possible explanation.
These two defendants also happen to be defendants in VP's antitrust litigation. If pretrial negotiations are proceeding favorably for VP, maybe one of the conditions that VP is demanding is that all requests for court costs in Waco be dropped.
Still, VP should appeal Judge Albright's dubious ruling of noninfringement unless Judge Albright himself cancelled the Friday motion hearings because he plans to revise his ruling on that noninfringement decision, which is DesktopDR's hypothesis.

And I expect to hear that VPLM offered to pay most or all of the defendants' expenses pre-emptively in a settlement before Judge Albright had the opportunity to award punitive damages for a lawsuit he clearly saw as frivolous.

They've done that several times already, of course.

I believe that what was cancelled is Verizon and T-Mobile asking for court and lawyer expenses. By the judge canceling these requests, it basically means that he doesn't see VPLM at fault. I expect to hear that the judge reconsidered the charges and things are moving forward in a positive direction for VPLM.

Actually, everything promulgated, promised and predicted for vplm, since it's beginnings, have been canceled..................except for one thing and one thing only.........

I agree. No fee's is very positive which means the reconsideration should happen. But even if there is bad news, the appeals court will overturn it. The Parker Vision video's were very enlightening.

I thought this court date was about t Mobile having attorney fees paid. People speculated that a decision about the reconsideration would also be addressed. But the primary purpose was about attorney fees.

Ham, I believe you are correct. The paltry volume that we have seen recently is another indication. Where I am expecting that an extension will be granted, I can not under emphasize the importance of what and how Emil communicates to shareholders around Feb 28th. What progress has been made, likelihood of future success after the extension et al. Anything short of that will not be good for the share price IMO. Where some may disagree, I do not want to see defendants served and the litigation start in earnest. Where I have been told the case would be bifurcated and take six months. Some of the research I have done would indicate a much longer time line. Further, once the litigation starts any attempt by parties to settle would have to approved by the DOJ, or so I have been told. I realize I am just one investor but I am confident I speak for many others when I say I am sick and tired of this stock, with few positive returns over the last ten year, the constant rumors that never come to fruition, and the stress and anxiety of holding a stock for so many years without a financial reward. So when the 28th rolls along, dont be disappointed if there is no settlement, but pay close attention to how Emil frames it. the prophet
