ZURICH--Swisscom's Austrian subsidiary Hospitality Services GmbH
is acquiring the operations of Deuromedia for an undisclosed sum,
to strengthen its global position in entertainment services for
hotels, Swisscom said Tuesday.
MAIN FACTS:
-Hospitality Services GmbH has signed an agreement with
Deuromedia Technologies Entwicklungs- und Vertriebs-GmbH, by which
it will take over all operations, including the existing contracts
with its partners, customers, suppliers and employees and its
Romanian subsidiary Deuromedia SRL.
-The deal will strengthen the global position of Swisscom's
Hospitality division in Asia, Europe and the US thanks to its
strong client portfolio.
-Following the completion of the transaction, Swisscom will
merge Deuromedia's operations with its own and will fulfill the
existing contractual obligations.
