International stocks trading in New York closed mostly lower Friday.

The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts fell 0.4% to 152.82. The European index rose 0.01% to 147.51, the Asian index dropped 1.1% to 178.49, the Latin American index declined 0.4% to 192.83, and the emerging markets index fell 1.3% to 297.36.

ADRs of Air France-KLM on Friday jumped 5.6% after the Franco-Dutch carrier group swung to a profit and booked record revenue in the fourth quarter amid a surge in demand for air travel after years of restrictions and border closures.

ADRs of Movella Holdings Inc. surged 47% after Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. reported in a securities filing a 6.1% stake in Movella, a provider of sensors, software and analytics.
