Minerals Inc. (TSX-V: SMP) ("Strata" or the "Company") is
pleased to announce that effective today, Mr. Richard Kelertas has been appointed to the Board
of Directors of the Company. Mr. Kelertas will sit as an
independent member of the Board.
Since April 2012,
Mr. Kelertas has been Senior Vice President, Corporate Development
with Allana Potash Corp., a TSX listed company. Prior to that
appointment, Mr. Kelertas was one of the most prominent investment
analysts in Canada, ranked a "Top
Gun" equity analyst by Brendan Woods International (BWI) for seven
years and, in 2010, one of only 14 analysts in Canada to be named a "Super Leaguer Analyst"
by BWI. He was also a Vice President and Senior Financial Analyst
at Dundee Capital Markets where he covered a number of junior
potash companies. Mr. Kelertas graduated from the
University of Toronto with two science
degrees, including a Masters of Science.

The appointment of Mr. Kelertas remains subject
to receipt of approval from the TSX Venture Exchange.
In addition, the Company announces that upon TSX
Venture Exchange approval of Mr. Kelertas' appointment, a total of
250,000 stock options shall be granted to Mr. Kelertas in
connection with the provisions of the Company's stock option plan.
The options to be granted shall vest in four equal installments
over a period of three years.
