Company went bankrupt. My post was about a distribution from a long ago class action suit.

Where did this co go.. who acquired ?

SUNEQ update - apparently the distribution is done account by account (or at minimum, accounts registered in different names are not combined).

Got a postcard today from "Analytics Consulting" - the outfit handling the distribution for the SUNEQ class action suit.

Apparently my joint account qualified for a distribution, but that was less than the "de minimus" threshold of $10 so I won't be receiving anything for the small position I held in that account.

I would have assumed that, if you filed a claim, by now one of three things would have occurred--
1. you received a check as I did for my first account
2. your distribution was less than the de minimus threshold and you will not get a check (like my second smaller account)
3. your claim was invalid - you would have heard this much earlier in the process

How much per share? - Don't really know. I am not sure now (more than 3 years after I sold my last SUNEQ shares) exactly when the class period was and how many of my shares qualified. I also held them in multiple accounts so I am not sure I I received payment only for one account or they were combined. On these class action suits I just fill out the forms and send them in and forget about it. I don't track them. Sometimes a check shows up a couple years later in the mail, sometimes one doesn't.

Did the check come from sun edison or your broker? Neither. Check came to me in the mail with check drawn on an account seemingly created just for settlement of this class action suit. Probably was mailed by the class action law firm or some outfit they hire to distribute the settlement proceeds in these cases.

Received Sunedison settlement checks today for 2.6% of cancelled shares. Better than nothing.

TDA had me fill out a claim.
I called and asked and they said I had to go to prime clerk website and file for a claim. It’s just name and email.

All my cusip numbers/shares disappeared a couple days ago. I'm assuming this is something to do with the settlement? I still have my WAMU cusips so I thought it was odd the SUNEQ all went bye bye

The 74 mill settlement is split between 2 classes, one 20 mill and the other 54 mill. Common stock gets 20mill divided by about 500 mill. Shares.

Looks like the settlement has been reached and we will get only about 5 cents per share.

Does this notice of Pendency only mean this suit will take years?

It can be years from the time you receive a class notice to when claims are actually paid.

There is no schedule.

Based on past experience I would fill out the forms, send them in and then forget about them. If a check comes in the mail in a couple years treat it as “found money”.

got notice - caught sitting on shares bought between 4-10 / 2016

I was buying summer and fall of 2017, in not going to hold my breath, but I read some of the complaint dockets. They had one for a government pension for preferred shares that were sold to them for $1,000 dollars and they went to $23. Sun Edison is going to have to pay some people. Could see pennies or could we dollars I have no idea. Goodluck

I got the public notice today

Yesterday received a notice from lawyers representing us. Maybe finally some action.

If the sociopaths decide to refile-- or re-instate it will be in another code and symbol so much for big hairy sasquatch welfare cases

If you owned before delisting you might have a chance. Usually these things don't return much but at least its something. Usually its all they can pull out of butt-clown management's hides.

Got a response from Jesse Axman, as follows:

If you would be so kind as to send me your mailing address and telephone number, I’ll add you to our database of potential class members in the SunEdison securities litigation. There is nothing further you need to do at this point in the litigation (although we recommend you retain your documentation relating to transactions in SunEdison). If at a future point the class is certified or if there is any recovery for the class (either through a court judgment or settlement), you should receive notice in the mail with instructions as to your rights as well as steps to take to participate in any recovery."

I am familiar with the OTC but this investment was from my wife's IRA, where I try to limit investments to stocks with less risk.

I tried to average-down, in order to get out, and I kept averaging-down as it fell.

In desparation, to save some of my investment on the chance of a surge, I averaged-down, one time, after the BK.

I sold all shares on Oct 18, 2017 realizing a $12,211.70 loss.
