United Industrial's AAI Corporation Wins $2.2 Million Contract for Advanced Moving Target Simulator Training System for Australian Defence Forces HUNT VALLEY, Md., Dec. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- United Industrial Corporation today announced that its AAI Corporation subsidiary has received a $2.2 million order for an Advanced Moving Target Simulator (AMTS) system for air defense training in the Commonwealth of Australia. AAI's Defense Systems unit has teamed with Tenix Defence, Australia's largest defense contractor, to incorporate AAI's next-generation core AMTS computer graphics and simulation technologies to meet Australia's Advanced Air Defence Simulator (AADS) program requirements. "Our AMTS system is an innovative simulation technology that provides superior training results for air defense weapon students while eliminating the need to actually fire weapons -- a very significant cost savings in a virtual training environment," noted Frederick M.
