DELL Dell Inc. (MM)

Carl Icahn has taken a position in Dell Inc. (DELL) in the past two weeks which may total around 100 million shares, and is likely to oppose the company's buyout proposal, CNBC's David Faber reported Wednesday, citing trading sources.

Mr. Icahn is expected soon to make a securities filing on the stake.

Mr. Icahn, in a comment to CNBC, said he would not discuss Dell.
