Chocoladefabriken Lindt & Spruengli AG (LISN.EB), the Swiss premium chocolate maker, expects to benefit from the recent consolidation in the industry.

The intensified concentration among producers will provide new opportunities," Chief Executive Ernst Tanner said in the company's 2009 annual report published Tuesday.

Recent mergers will likely result in more uniform product offers, a trend which is set to increase the cachet of high-end producers such as Lindt & Spruengli, the company said.

Following the merger of Kraft Foods Inc. (KFT) and Cadbury PLC, Lindt & Spruengli is ranked number six global chocolate manufacturer, up one place, the company said.
