                            Director's Shareholding



Mr R Moore, a Director of the Company, exercised share options over 31,970
Ordinary shares of 5p in the Company on 1 August 2006 at an option price of
367.5p. The option was granted on 27 June 2003 and has been exercisable since 27
June 2006, the performance criteria attached to the grant having been met in
full.  Mr Moore still retains an option over a further 19,732 Ordinary shares of
5p in the Company granted on 27 June 2003.



Mr Moore subsequently sold 31,970 shares at an average price of 699.3415p on 1
August 2006. Following the exercise and sale, Mr Moore retains a holding in
25,294 Ordinary shares of 5p in the Company, representing 0.047 per cent. of the
Company's issued ordinary share capital.



Mr Moore's other interests in the shares of the Company are unchanged.
