    ClearSpeed Technology plc received notification on 8 October 2008 that Richard Farleigh, Chairman of the Company, purchased 2,902,259
ordinary shares of 1p each, at an average price of 8.9253 pence per share.  

    Following the above transaction, Richard Farleigh now holds 18,036,072 ordinary shares representing 28.8 per cent. of the issued share
capital.
