The Company received a notification today from Hermes Administration Services
Limited on behalf of BriTel Fund Trustees Limited for Trustees of BT Pension
Scheme informing it that as at 12 July 2006 they have an interest in 2,711,245
ordinary shares representing 4.938% of the issued ordinary share capital of the
Company.
