Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for 834,552 Ordinary
shares of 5p each of Chemring Group plc to be admitted to the Official List.
The shares to be issued are in relation to a Block Listing for The Chemring
Group 1998 Executive Share Option Scheme.

The shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing issued
ordinary share capital of the company.

Copies of this announcement will be available for two business days following
the date of this announcement from the Company Announcements Department of the
London Stock Exchange and for fourteen days from the offices of Credit Suisse
First Boston de Zoete & Bevan Limited, One Cabot Square London E14 4QJ, brokers
to Chemring Group plc.
