                   "CHEMRING SELLS NON-CORE BUSINESS"                   

Chemring Group PLC ("Chemring") announces the sale of the business and assets
of its industrial clothing division, Vacuum Reflex, for a cash consideration
of #85,000.  The acquirer is Monarch Textiles, a division of Albashow Limited.

Taking account of provisions already made for disposals, there will not be a
material impact on the Group accounts.
