Tuntex (Thailand) Public Company Limited U.S.$70,000,000 Floating Rate Notes due
1998

This is to inform you that at the Noteholders' Meeting held on 4 December 1998,
the Noteholders approved an Extraordinary Resolution which, inter alia, extended
the maturity date of the above Notes to the Interest Payment Date falling in
September 2000.

However, that Extraordinary Resolution is subject to the fulfilment of certain
conditions precedent, and accordingly has not yet taken effect.  We will inform
you when the conditions precedent are completed and the extension of the Notes
has come into force.

We will, in any event, shortly be preparing a Notice to Noteholders informing
them of the outcome of the Meeting.
