Total Voting Rights

In accordance with the Financial Conduct Authority's (FCA) Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rule 5.6.1R, the Company notifies the market that as at 29 December 2023:

1. T he Company's issued share capital comprised 16,184,146,059 ordinary shares of EUR 0.50 each, each with one vote. Ordinary shares of EUR 0.50 each held in treasury amounted to 301,184,199.

2. Therefore, for the purpose of the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rule 5.6.1R, the total number of voting rights in the Company was 15,882,961,860 and this figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
