KIRKLAND LAKE, ON, Jan. 18 /CNW/ -- KIRKLAND LAKE, ON, Jan. 18 /CNW/ - RJK Explorations Ltd., (RJX.A: TSXV) ("RJK") wishes to announce that it has completed the heli‐borne magnetic and electromagnetic survey of both the East and West Blackwater Gold claim groups, which are contiguous to the Richfield Ventures Blackwater Gold claim group in the Blackwater Gold District of B.C. Final preparation and interperation of the airborne data is expected soon to aid in follow‐up work programs this spring to define drill targets. This data will be posted to the Company's website when it becomes available. It was fortunate that with the recent addition of the Dave2 claim to the eastern boundary of RJK's West Blackwater Gold claims, the Company was able to obtain ground that covers a number of anomalies that were previously identified as drill targets through airborne surveys and ground work done by a junior exploration company last year. RJK also notes that Troymet Exploration (TYE) has just announced the signing of a drilling contract for their Key Project, which is contiguous on the west to RJK's West Blackwater Gold claim group and on the north to the Richfield Blackwater Gold deposit. It should be noted that numerous maps on Troymet's web site indicate a VTEM anomaly with an interpreted buried intrusive and coincident gold‐silver‐zinc mineralization from prospecting located just to the east of RJK's property boundary. Additionally, RJK is preparing to drill its Dempster Lake Claims in the Meen‐Dempster Greenstone Belt located approximately 20 kilometers south‐east of the past producing Golden Patricia Mine, Pickle Lake Area, Ontario. Crews are readying the Cat Lake winter road out of Pickle Lake from which RJK will access the property. At least three drill ready targets have been identified from historical work conducted by Cochenour Willans and by Noranda which consisted of line cutting, magnetometer and VLF‐EM surveying, limited mapping and humus and till geochemical sampling during the 1970s and 1980s respectively. Although drilling was recommended in both cases, these areas were not drill tested. It is anticipated that the drill could be on site within the next two weeks.
