Champion Bear Appoints Additional Independent Director to Its Board of Directors

Champion Bear Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:CBA) ("Champion Bear" or the
"Company") is pleased to announce that, effective March 1, 2012, Kent Couillard
has been appointed a director of the Company to increase the number of
independent members and to add to the financial and capital markets experience
of the Board. 


Mr. Couillard is an independent corporate finance consultant and a director and
Chief Executive Officer of Iciena Ventures Inc., a Vancouver, BC based mining
company whose shares are listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. Mr. Couillard is
also a director of Rain Resources Inc., a Burnaby, BC based Capital Pool Company
whose shares are listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. From 1997 to 2000, Mr.
Couillard was a licensed broker with Yorkton Securities in Calgary, Alberta.
From March 2005 to March 2006, Mr. Couillard was a director of Delek Resources
Ltd., a Houston, Texas based oil and gas exploration company whose shares are
quoted on the National Association of Securities Dealers Over-the-Counter
Bulletin Board ("OTCBB"). From August 2004 to March 2005 Mr. Couillard was a
director of Southern Pacific Resources Corp. a TSX Venture Exchange listed
issuer.
