Deutsche Bahn has ordered an additional 17 trains from Siemens for around 600 million euros ($651.9 million), the German industrial company's mobility business said Wednesday.

With this latest order from Germany's national railway company, the original agreement signed in July 2020 for 90 trains is now complete, Siemens mobility said.

The ICE 3neo high-speed passenger trains will be manufactured at its plant in Krefeld, western Germany and will be delivered by August 2028, Siemens mobility said.

The first trains ordered under the agreement have been in service since December 2022, Siemens mobility said.
