TJX Cos. (TJX) is recalling about 4,600 Gardeners Eden brand
light-up autumn decorations because exposed wiring near the battery
box can lead to a short circuit and pose the risk of a fire,
according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
TJX has received two reports of overheating related to the
recalled products, which include Gardeners Eden decorative wreaths
and Chinese Lantern plant arrangements sold at TJ Maxx, Marshalls
and HomeGoods stores from August to September last year for between
$25 and $30 each.
The retailer hasn't received reports of any injuries, the CPSC
said.
The decorations were manufactured in China by Dalian Guangsheng
Arts & Crafts Co. and imported by Massachusetts-based TJX.
Consumers should stop using the recalled products, remove the
batteries and return the decorations to TJ Maxx, Marshalls or
HomeGoods store for a refund.
