Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on NUS at TheTechTrader site noting: Nu Skin Enterprises Inc. (NUS) had a big breakout on Thursday, up 4.21 to 44.90, or 10%, on 3 million shares. A big declining topsline was broken recently, and the inverse neckline was broken on Thursday. Perhaps we’re going to see a test of 49.90-50 coming up.

Crappy annual report. Missed on all levels -- revenue, YoY, QoQ etc.
Bad guidance too.

However, I do see couple of positives:
1. They repurchased about 5% of O/S last year and probably will continue
2. Number of so-called 'sales leaders' increased slightly, or at least stopped dropping. Sales leaders generate majority of sales through their groups (they have a $2000-3000 requirement) which points to an increased revenues. Not immediately, but eventually.


I do plan on buying if this dips below $20

Just got an email from Nuskin
Beginning November 1st, pricing for both online and ADR shipping will decrease for orders up to $50. Shipping will remain FREE for orders over $500.

It's about time. Last couple emails on the subject I received were price hikes. Even though gas prices have dropped significantly!

I am, however, looking forward to see the number of sales leaders in the latest ER. If the number dropped from last Q, you know that this quarter's sales will drop too. It's as simple as that.

Of course the revenue is very disappointing. After hours volume is ~115K, some of them are large blocks of 1000+shares

Number of 'active distributors' and 'sales leaders' dropped yet again -- that tells you next Q revenue will most likely be even lower

Dividend of 35c at $60 was 2.3% annualized

Maybe, but FVRG would certainly add to NUS product-line and balance.

I wonder whether NuSkin might be interested in acquiring this soaring MLM? Forevergreen (FVRG): It fits the bill, healthy products and profit-wise. 90-100 million revenue per year expected, an increase of 45% over the previous year's expected growth, and 12 months of consecutive MoM triple digit revenue growth. Pretty impressive!

Nu Skin Enterprises, Inc. will release fourth-quarter and full-year 2014 results prior to the market opening on Thursday, Feb. 5.

Market estimates $600M revenue for Q4. 2013 Q4 was $1 Billion. Doesn't look very promising for PPS

It will drop dramatically I agree. They need to focus on selling the product itself as oppose to continuing the pyramid scheme. If they focus on selling for commission plus recruitment then it'll be a multilevel. But it is straight up a pyramid scheme growing base charging recruitment.

Sorry, have to disagree. Judging from my own experience... I was introduced to nuskin 'business' few years ago. Tried distributing for a while but it didn't grow big. Finally stopped but remained a product user. I buy about 50 dollars of products a month on average.
By the way back in 2009 when I learned about it their stock was at 30 or so and 1.3.bln in revenue. Today's revenues are twice as much. But markers expectations are just unrealistic, and their performance for the next couple of quarters will loos bad compared to first couple of quarters of 2014. But as soon as it hits $20 I will start buying.

I even had a dream few weeks ago that it will drop to $14 LOL :)

The problem with this company is that they are focused on getting money from recruits rather than selling the products and getting commission. Thus puts it as running a pyramid scheme while presenting to be a multilevel marketing.
