Item 8.01                      Other Events.

On January 7, 2010, FiberTower Corporation issued a press release announcing that it had regained compliance with Nasdaq Marketplace Rule 5450(a)(1), which requires listed companies to maintain a minimum bid price of $1.00 per share.  A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
