Polish Zloty Plummets To 6-week Low Against US Dollar

The Polish currency traded lower against the US dollar after the
release of CPI data in New York deals on Tuesday. The zloty
plummeted to a 6-week low of 2.9129 versus the greenback by about
12:20 pm ET, which may be compared to yesterday's close of 2.8142.
As of now, the pair is worth 2.8949.
Tuesday, Poland's Central Statistical Office announced that the
consumer price index or CPI increased 3.3% year-on-year in
November, faster than the 3.1% growth in the previous month.
Economists were looking for an increase of 3.4%.
On a monthly basis, the CPI rose 0.3% in November, after rising
0.1% in October.
For the January to November period, consumer prices increased
3.5% compared to the same period of the previous year.
