French energy giant GDF Suez SA (GSZ.BT) said Monday that it had concluded the sale of a 12.5% stake in Belgium's power grid operator Elia System Operator SA (ELI.BT) to Belgian energy holding Publi-T for EUR160 million.

GDF Suez will book a EUR122 million capital gain from the transaction, the company said in a statement.

The French energy company said it will sell its remaining stake in Elia depending on market opportunities.
