Wow. I think I gotta sue my broker! (not really) Because I did not know about this lawsuit. I have found Schwab's news section severely deficient over time. This is the 2nd time I've come to this board to find what's up with a company because of strange "unexplained" activity.

Three times in the past 3 months AWX has sold & re-purchased on me 3 times (due to my habit of putting in standing buy & sell orders). This last time I could find no rational explanation, so I checked here.

This recent activity probably had nothing to do with this lawsuit. But I had no idea about this lawsuit.

It's funny, that article talked about how this company was a slow & steady growth company (normally). I perfectly expected it to be that too. Not so much lately.

$AWX I'm surprised that no one is watching this stock. It forms a beautiful 90 days chart, extremely low float, and for whatever reason keeps rising. With a history of supernova, this could explode anytime soon.

The Lawsuit is for $6,300,000 which would net over $1 in earnings for them

Keep in mind with such a low float this stock can move quick. in 2018 it went from $4 to $20 in 4 days

AWX book value about 10 dollars share price 2.43, today got some volume

Ha that's stupid. AWX has a low float and solid fundamentals. Tangible book value on AWX is over $9, including .84/share in cash. Upcoming Q3 is their seasonally strongest quarter. They could post EPS of .15, .20, .25 in that quarter alone. Of course it will get another run to the $3's and possibly much higher. Only question is when.

Nice day here. I myself am looking for a quick spike up with the 10k released, as before. Depending on if that happens this time, I might sell and buy back lower with big spike or just wait and hold if not.

I've been buying too. Stock is too cheap here. There's a ton of support in the low $2's going back years, even when AWX wasn't profitable. Probably because of the strong balance sheet, with tangible book value up near $10/share.

But I wouldn't look for too much from the 10K. 2018 was an excellent year for them no doubt, with a big increase in profits. But they're taking a substantial impairment charge in Q4 of $3.1M-$3.3M to write down their salt water injection wells:

There is a silver lining on this, which I don't think the market has sniffed out yet. AWX has been losing money on these salt water injection wells. Approx $800K/year. From the last 10Q:

"During the first nine months of 2018 and 2017, the salt water injection wells incurred a loss before income taxes of approximately $0.6 million and $0.7 million, respectively. The loss was primarily due to depreciation expense recorded on the facility and legal and professional costs incurred relating to Avalon’s appeal and mandamus processes described above."

Without the $800K expense, that would add .20/share to annual earnings! Probably won't eliminate them entirely, but those expenses should be greatly reduced starting in 2019. Q1 is seasonally their worst quarter. But Q2 & Q3 are seasonally strong so AWX likely to post some huge earnings in those quarters. Which would cause this low floater to spike higher again.

Looks like I was a day early. Down to $2.90? Man this market is ugly. AWX gapped up to the high $4's last Friday after reporting Q3 earnings of .21/share vs. .14/share last year. Strong balance sheet with tangible book value over $10, including .44/share in cash. And people are giving their shares away in the $2's

I snagged some this morning. Low of $3.08 is crazy after that good quarter. Problem is the broader market is ugly right now. People just aren't in a buying mood. But I'm hopeful things will perk up again in the coming weeks if we get a trade deal with China. Market would be off to the races and low floater AWX pushing $4 again.

Good price, I’ve trying to add at 3.31 this morning. They keep trying to push it down, but good support so far, so it may not get there without a flash drop and back up.

AWX anything under 3.50 loading zone for me.. this is a very great swing trade stock.. low float..

Agree, at one point short interest was 50%, they covered most over the last three months down to 160k in October, but were back in force today in my opinion.
