Swedish engineering group Sandvik AB (SAND.SK) said Friday Dinggui Gao has been appointed president of the Sandvik Construction business area and member of the company's group executive management.

-49-year old Dinggui Gao was previously executive representative at Sinotruk Hong Kong Ltd. (3808.HK).

-Dinggui Gao takes on his new position at a date that will be announced later.

-At 0827 GMT, shares were down 0.4% at SEK92.85.
