PNC Financial Services (PNC) reported second-quarter net income of $207 million, or 14 cents a share, compared with $517 million, or $1.45 a share, in the year-ago period. Revenue for the quarter was $3.99 billion, compared with $2.04 billion.

The company's credit loss provision for the quarter was $1.09 billion, up from $186 million a year ago. Net interest income was $2.18 billion, up from $977 million a year ago, while noninterest income was $1.81 billion, up from $1.06 billion a year earlier.
