EUK to supply Asda Stores

                     ENTERTAINMENT UK TO SUPPLY ASDA STORES

Woolworths Group plc is today announcing that Entertainment UK (EUK), its
entertainment wholesale subsidiary, has reached agreement in principle to supply
selected categories of entertainment products to Asda stores.

The categories to be supplied include CDs, video games, and selected elements of
Asda's DVD range. It is anticipated that supply will commence on a phased basis
from August 2007 for a term of no less than 2 years. On a full year basis, it
is anticipated that this will add approximately #200 million to EUK's turnover.

Commenting on this development, Trevor Bish-Jones, Woolworths Group plc's Chief
Executive, said "We are delighted to have won the Asda business. It marks
another important step in the development of EUK. Over the past 18 months,
through a series of contract wins and acquisitions, we have significantly
improved the underlying quality of the EUK business. We now have a fully
diversified base of quality retailers as our customers. "
