Van Dieman Completes #0.504 million Placement.

Admission of Ordinary Shares

The Board of Directors has today announced that the Company has raised #0.478
million (net of expenses) by way of a placing of 4,800,000 new Ordinary Shares
at 10.5 pence per share ("Placing") and the issue of 2,400,000 warrants to
purchase Ordinary Shares at 13.0 pence per share at any time up until the fifth
anniversary of the warrant instrument. The placing shares and warrants have been
placed with RAB Special Situations (Master) Fund Limited ("RAB").

Following the placing and the shares being admitted to AIM, RAB will be
interested in 19,685,000 Ordinary Shares in the Company, representing 19.99% of
the issued share capital of the Company and 2,400,000 warrants with terms as
above.

The Directors of the Company consider, having consulted with its nominated
adviser, that the terms of the transaction are fair and reasonable insofar as
its shareholders are concerned.

Application has been made today for these shares to be admitted to AIM, and
trading is expected to commence on 13 August, 2007.

This brings the total number of Ordinary Shares with voting rights to 98,492,107
which may be used by shareholders in the Company as the denominator for the
calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their
interest in, or a change in their interest in, the share capital of the Company
under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.

The Company has undertaken the Placing principally to supplement working capital
in the pre-startup phase of the Scotia project.
