The Board of The Market Age plc ("the Company") was notified today, 11 February
2004, that The Smith Trust, a trust of which Shane Smith a director of the
Company is a trustee and beneficiary, sold 50,000 Ordinary Shares at 20.5p per
share on 10 February 2004.  Together with the previous transaction notified on 9
February 2004, this transaction has been carried out to address the capital
gains exposure of the trust in facilitating certain financing for the company.

Following this transaction The Smith Trust is interested in 9,239,549 Ordinary
Shares representing 53% of the issued share capital of the Company.
