Appointment of Liquidators

                              RECOVERY TRUST PLC                               

The Board announces that the special and extraordinary resolutions proposed at
the Extraordinary General Meeting held earlier today were passed on a show of
hands.

The Company has therefore been put into Members' Voluntary Liquidation and
Nicholas James Dargan and Nicholas Guy Edwards, both of Deloitte & Touche LLP,
have been appointed as Joint Liquidators.

Further details can be found in the Circular to Shareholders dated 20 July
2007.

Copies of the resolutions passed today have been submitted to the UK Listing
Authority and will shortly be available for inspection at the UK Listing
Authority's Document Viewing Facility, which is situated at:
