                 Discussions with Potential Offerors Terminated 
 
On 21 November 2008, the board of Renewable Power & Light plc ("RPL" or the 
"Company") first announced that it had received an approach which may or may not 
lead to an offer being made for the Company. Subsequently, the Company received 
further indications of interest from various potential offerors. The board of 
RPL confirms that discussions with all such potential offerors have now ended as 
these potential offerors have confirmed that they are no longer contemplating 
making or participating in an offer for the Company. 
Accordingly for the purposes of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers, the 
Company is no longer deemed to be in an offer period.
