                    Appointment of Tim Heaton as a Director                    

Retec, the multi-channel marketing services company and one of the UK's largest
providers of guided selling solutions which counts Tesco, Asda, Alliance Boots,
Argos, Sainsbury's and Morrisons amongst its clients, is pleased to announce
that Timothy ("Tim") Sean Heaton (aged 41) has been appointed to the Board with
immediate effect.

Tim has been with the Retec Interface business as Sales & Marketing Director
for the last 8 years and more recently appointed Managing Director of both the
Retec and Liquid Digital businesses. During this period Tim has forged many key
client relationships, both through direct and strategic channel partner
engagements notably with IBM & NCR. His previous roles spanned time in
operations, marketing and communications for a number of leading retailers
including WH Smiths, Boots and Focus.

John Cole, CEO of Retec, commented: "We are delighted that Tim has joined the
Board at this time. He has contributed enormously to the development of the
Retec business during the last 8 years."
