    Suspension of trading in shares

    West Malling, UK, 3 July 2008: Phoqus Pharmaceuticals plc ("Phoqus" or the "Company (LSE: PQS) announces that, at its request, trading
in the Company's ordinary shares is to be suspended with effect from 2.15 pm on Thursday 3 July 2008.

    The Company has over recent months been in discussions with several third parties with a view to seeking a commercial partner for its
lead product Chronocort�.  The Board of Phoqus has now concluded that these discussions have effectively ceased without success. In light of
this, the Board of Phoqus is taking advice and is considering the financial position of the Company and all of the options available to it.
