   New Pall Filtration Technology Preserves Wine Flavor and Quality
            
Bacteria and yeast can turn good wine to bad. The process of keeping
them out of the bottle without affecting the delicate taste or color
of wine is a constant challenge. New technology from Pall Corporation
(NYSE: PLL) solves this universal vintners' dilemma. The Pall
OenoPure(TM) filter removes organisms that can adversely affect wine
quality and shelf life without altering color or taste.

The OenoPure filter effectively removes harmful contaminants during
the critical filtration step before bottling. At the heart of the
filter is a proprietary inert membrane that minimizes interaction with
the wine and thereby preserves its characteristic flavor and color.
This is critical, especially for premium brand wines.

The characteristics of the OenoPure filter --- reliable microbial
control, durability, and inert nature --- provide wineries with an
efficient and economical solution to wine processing. Pall's
proprietary Polyethersulfone filtration membrane is formed into a high
surface area cartridge with Pall's Ultipleat(R) technology. This
award-winning technology results in a highly efficient and
mechanically strong filter. The filter can be sanitized with most
currently used methods including hot water, steam and chemicals. Its
durable PES membrane can be repeatedly sanitized with hot water for
over 500 cycles, further improving the economics of wine processing.

The OenoPure filter is the latest addition to the Pall OenoVations
line of products for wine processing. Complementary products in the
line are the OenoClear(TM) and OenoStar(TM) filters, for the
prefiltration steps in microbial stabilization, and the OenoFlow(TM)
Hollow Fiber Microfiltration system, for clarification.

The OenoPure filters will be on display at the Unified Wine and Grape
Symposium, January 29-30, 2003, Sacramento, California at Pall booth
#'s 1517, 1519 and 1521.
