                Maverick Entertainment Group plc ("the Company")

                                    Placing

Maverick Entertainment Group plc, the AIM listed company specialising in the
creation, acquisition and development of IPR in children's films, television
programmes, characters and related entertainment products is pleased to announce
that it has conditionally raised #110,945 through a placing of 44,378,000 new
ordinary shares at 0.25p per share ("Placing Shares"). As with other placing
money raised recently, this will provide the Company with additional working
capital to, inter alia, complete the production of the Muffin the Mule
television series.

Application has today been made for the admission of the Placing Shares to
trading on AIM. The shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary
shares of the Company. Dealings in the Placing Shares are expected to commence
on 7 December 2004.
