Pearson PLC (PSON.LN), an international media company, said Friday that it has received valid acceptances for its recommended cash offer for Melorio PLC (MLO.LN) in respect of a total of 23,811,617 shares, representing 60.4% of the issued share capital of Melorio.

MAIN FACTS:

-This total includes acceptances received in respect of 15,878,385 Melorio Shares which were subject to irrevocable commitments procured by Pearson.

-The offer has been extended to 1200 GMT on June 18.

-Pearson Shares closed Friday at 935 pence.
