M&G Equity Investment Trust P.L.C. (M&G EIT) announces that it has today been 
informed that Prudential plc and certain of its subsidiaries are interested in 
88,625,309 M&G EIT Income shares, and 89,319,912 M&G EIT Capital shares, 
representing 50.97% of the total voting rights in M&G EIT. 87,319,912 of the 
said Income shares and 87,319,912 of the said Capital shares are held on behalf
