    ISLAMIC BANK OF BRITAIN PLC 
    Result of General Meeting
    Islamic Bank of Britain PLC (the "Company") announces that, further to the announcement of 26 November 2008 regarding the placing and
related resolutions, and the amendment to the Company's Articles of Association, the General Meeting was held today and all the resolutions
were duly passed. 

    It is expected that all of the conditions of the placing will be satisfied in January 2009 and the 127,470,000 new Ordinary Shares are
expected to be admitted  to trading on AIM on 20 January 2009.
