Hartlepool Water PLC (the "Company")

Following the acquisition of 97% of the ordinary share capital
of the Company by Anglian Water Plc and a Board Meeting of the
Company held today, the following changes have been made to
the Board of the Company with immediate effect:

Messrs. J V Ropner    (Non-Executive Chairman)
        K B Hall      (Managing Director)
        A J F Bateman (Finance Director)
        J Tilly       (Non-Executive Director)
        J M Cameron   (Non-Executive Director)
        D H Peart     (Non-Executive Director)
   Sir  W H Gray Bt   (Non-Executive Director)


resigned as directors of the Company.

Messrs. J W Green    (Non-Executive Chairman)
        A P Jessop   (Managing Director)
        B R Good     (Non-Executive Director)
        W Davidson   (Non-Executive Director)
        J T Sansby   (Non-Executive Director)
    Dr. C Morton     (Non-Executive Director)

were appointed in their stead.

The new directors are all employees of Anglian Water and Mr J
W Green is the Group Technical Director of Anglian Water Plc
and Managing Director of Anglian Water Services Limited.

Mr A J F Bateman also resigned as Secretary of the Company and
Mr R M Dickinson and Ms J E Fox were appointed joint
Secretaries in his stead.
