GRANBY OIL AND GAS PLC ("Granby")

Silverstone Energy Limited ("Silverstone") announces that the Offer document in
respect of its recommended cash offer for the entire issued and to be issued
share capital of Granby has now been posted to Granby shareholders.  A copy of
the document may be inspected at the offices of Addleshaw Goddard LLP, 150
Aldersgate Street, London  EC1A 4EJ.

RBC Trustees (CI) Limited, a company in the same group as Royal Bank of Canada
Europe Limited, the financial adviser to Silverstone, confirms that it holds
6,250 Granby shares on behalf of a discretionary client, which were purchased on
19 December 2005 at 79p per share. The shares comprise less than 0.02% of the
current issued share capital of Granby.
