GOLF CLUB HOLDINGS PLC ("GCH" or "the Company")

Golf Club Holdings Plc is pleased to announce a further
expansion in its activities.  On 1 September 1999, an option agreement was
concluded with Mr andMrs J Kay in respect of Ecclestone Park Golf Club
("Ecclestone Park") near St Helens, Liverpool.

Ecclestone Park comprises an 18-hole course, over 125 acres,
which has been completed and will open for play this autumn. 
GCH will fit out the clubhouse.  On the site, there are a number
of other buildings with extensive car parking, which GCH believe
could accommodate additional leisure facilities.

The details of the option arrangements, for which GCH will pay
#14,000 are as follows:

GCH have the right to purchase the 990 year balance of a 999
year leasehold interest at any time between 18th September and
16th October 2000 at a price of #1.664m payable in cash.  Mr and
Mrs Kay have the right to oblige GCH to purchase the said
leasehold interest for #1.695m payable in cash at any time
between 1st and 31st December 2000.


Between now and the completion of the purchase under the terms
of the option agreement,  GCH will manage Ecclestone Park.  GCH
will retain all profits up to #141,000 p.a. with Mr and Mrs Kay
receiving one third of all profits above that figure.

Ecclestone Park will be the eighth club under GCH management,
the others being:

1.       Batchworth Park Golf Club                  - Rickmansworth, Herts

2.       The Chase Golf Club                        - Cannock, Staffs

3.       The Lambourne Golf Club                    - Burnham, Bucks

4.       South Winchester Golf Club                 - Winchester, Hants

5.       The Vale Golf and Country Club             - Evesham, Worcs

6.       Vale Royal Abbey Golf Club                 - Northwich, Cheshire

7.       Wickham Park Golf Club                     - Fareham, Hants


Ecclestone Park is the third addition to the GCH portfolio this
year and it represents another step in the progress of GCH as a
developer and manager of golf clubs throughout the country.
