Statement Re Suspension

The board of EuroTelecom announces that it has resolved to seek the
appointment of an Administrator to EuroTelecom Corporation Limited (ECL), the
group's principal operating subsidiary.

On 9 February the board announced that it had had discussions with third
parties regarding the injection of funds in order to resolve the group's
working capital difficulties. Whilst these discussions have continued, they
have not resulted in any firm proposals.

The principal purpose of the Administration is to seek the survival of the
business of the group through a Company Voluntary Arrangement of ECL.

Accordingly, the directors have requested that the London Stock Exchange
suspend the company's shares from trading on the Alternative Investment Market
of the London Stock Exchange.
