    Eirx Therapeutics plc ("the Company")

    Resignation of Director, Liquidation of subsidiary

    Eirx Therapeutics plc announced today that it is applying to put its wholly owned Irish subsidiary Eirx Therapeutics Limited.("ETL")
into liquidation. Michael McAteer of Foster McAteer, Chartered Accountants, Dublin has been asked to allow his name to go forward for
appointment as liquidator of ETL.

    Colin Telfer the CEO has been made redundant as part of the liquidation process, and has resigned as a director of the Company effective
19 August 2008. The board of EiRx would like to express its gratitude to Dr Telfer for all his efforts on behalf of the Company. John Pool,
Nick Strong and Tom Cotter remain as directors.

    The directors of Eirx Therapeutics plc are working to put together a plan designed to secure the future of the Company based around its
other operating business, Auvation Limited. Further announcements will be made as appropriate.
