Energem - Delisting from the Toronto Stock Exchange

    VANCOUVER, April 21 /CNW/ - Energem Resources Inc. ("the Company") 
announces that it has applied to be voluntarily de-listed from the Toronto 
Stock Exchange ("TSX") and will submit an application for transfer of the 
listing of its common shares to the TSX-Venture Exchange ("TSX-V"). 
    The Company's listing on the TSX was predicated on the Company being 
listed as a mining issuer. The last of the Company's mining assets was 
relinquished by it in October 2007 and the Company was placed under remedial 
review by the TSX. The TSX has recently advised that its review has concluded 
that the Company does not continue to qualify under TSX rules for listing as a 
non-mining issuer. The Company has therefore applied to be voluntarily 
de-listed from the TSX and will apply for a transfer of the listing of its 
common shares to the TSX-V. 
    Trading in the Company's shares on the TSX remains halted pending the 
acceptance of the application for de-listing by the TSX and/or the filing of 
the Company's annual financial statements, management discussion and analysis 
and annual information form for the year ended December 31, 2008 which were 
due March 31, 2009. Further to the Company's news release of April 9, 2009, 
the Company anticipates being in a position to file these documents by April 
30, 2009. Trading in the Company's shares on the London Stock Exchange's AIM 
is unaffected by these developments.
