  ENDESA 

  PAYMENT OF THE 2008 INTERIM DIVIDEND 

  At its meeting of February 20th, 2009, ENDESA's Board of Directors has agreed to pay an interim gross dividend of 5.897 Euro per share, against 2008 earnings. 

  The net payment will be made on March 16th 2009, through the banks and financial institutions that Endesa will announce at due time. 

  As a result, ENDESA shares will trade ex-dividend from March 16th, 2009.
