Director/PDMR Shareholding

The Company, was advised today of an error regarding a PDMR shareholding. This error resulted from the misinterpretation of an instruction given by the PDMR, which has only just come to light.

The circumstances are that on 30 June 2011, 4,000 ordinary shares beneficially owned by Baroness Dean, a non executive director of the Company, were mistakenly sold in the market for 16.83 pence.

As a result of the transaction Baroness Dean holds 32,233 ordinary shares representing 0.045% of the company's issued share capital.

The intention had been simply to vote the shares in favour of the offer from Smiths News, as had been all other shares owned by Baroness Dean.

The error having been made some time ago, the sale cannot be unwound. Dawson and Baroness Dean regret the error and that the share sale was not reported promptly in the normal course of business.
