Disperse Technologies Group plc (the "Company" or "Disperse") has been informed
on 2 August 2004 by University Superannuation Scheme Limited that its
shareholding in the Company stands at 3,111,110 ordinary shares (previously
nil). This represents 5.12% of the enlarged issued share capital of the Company
of 60,710,535 ordinary shares following the allotment of new ordinary shares in
relation to the placing, offer for subscription and acquisition of Elizabeth
French plc as announced on 26 July 2004.

Following the increase in issued share capital as above, the shareholdings of
the Company's directors (including connected persons) as at 2 August 2004 are as
follows:

Neil Morley              5,000000 ordinary shares       8.24%
Graham Norfolk            495,000 ordinary shares       0.82%
Ken Primrose               23,000 ordinary shares       0.04%
