    Dipford Group plc - Chairman

    Further to its announcement of 12 May 2008, Dipford Group plc regrets to announce that Barrie Newton will not now become the Group
Chairman. At the Board Meeting held on 23 May to ratify his appointment, Mr Newton requested an update on and clarification with regard to
the Group's current financial position. The sharp reductions in business levels experienced since Mr Newton indicated his willingness to act
as Chairman led to the suspension of the Group's shares on 6 June. 

    Mr Newton has now confirmed that he does not wish to take up the Chairmanship of the Group.
