Investment in Mother Rock Energy Fund Limited

On 3 August 2006, Mother Rock Energy Fund Limited ("Mother Rock") announced that
it had incurred substantial trading losses during June and July and was, as a
consequence, being wound up. Whilst the final effect on the value of the
Company's investment in Mother Rock is not yet quantifiable, in calculating the
Company's estimated net asset value at 31 July 2006, which was released on 8
August 2006, the valuation of that investment was reduced by approximately 25%
from the 30 June 2006 valuation reflecting Mother Rock's reported trading losses
in July. This reduction was in addition to the significant reduction that had
occurred in the previous month reflecting the June trading losses. As at 31 July
2006 the Company's investment in Mother Rock represented 1.7% of the Company's
estimated net asset value. No further adjustment has been made since that date.
As and when additional information becomes available to the Company that
valuation may be revised, and revisions (if any) will be reflected in future net
asset value announcements to be made by the Company.
